The Saint Jude Mission Station community, together with the devotees welcomed the arrival of the Pilgrim Relics of Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus last April 11, 2023 through a solemn procession which started from San Bartolome Parish to Immaculate Concepcion Parish where it was opened for public veneration. The relic was transferred to Saint Thérèse Mission Headquarters on the second day.
Saint Thérèse De Lisieux, also known as Saint Therese of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face was a French Carmelite and Doctor of the Church. Born as Marie Françoise-Thérèse Martin, she was the daughter of Saint Louis Martin and Saint Zelie Martin. At the age of fifteen, she joined the Carmelites together with her sisters. She was influential model of sanctity for Catholics because of the simplicity and practicality of her approach to spiritual life. She wrote her spiritual memoir, her autobiography entitled "The Story of A Soul". She died of tuberculosis in 1897 at the age of 24. She was canonized by Pope Pius XI.
